The MERCES team working on the restoration of coastal shallow hard bottoms and mesophotic habitats just concluded a 4-day intensive training workshop. The workshop, held between Barcelona and L'Estartit - Blanes with field work at Medes Islands, was aimed at sharing best practices in marine restoration developed by MERCES partners working on these habitats. Nearly 20 MERCES researchers presented, showed and tested restoration techniques for species in the Mediterranean coralligenous and for macroalgae.
