SER 2018 - Restoration in the Era of Climate Change - Reykjavik, Iceland 9-13 September 2018

Our colleagues participated in the SER Europe Conference, in the beautiful Reykjavik. The Conference, held on Sept 9-13, represents the European chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration. Thanks to Cristina Gambi, Nadia Papadopoulou, Chris Smith and Alba Medrano for sharing our latest development on Marine Restoration! Over 400 people, representing 48 countries all over the world, took part in the conference.

Nearly 200 oral talks―including seven excellent keynotes—and over 80 posters were presented; in addition to six specialized workshops and an open Climate Forum.

MERCES was present with the following talks and posters:

- Key concepts for ecological restoration in the deep-sea
- Stakeholder perceptions on marine restoration: policy targets and supporting actions
- Restoring macroalgal Cystoseira forests: life-history traits highlight the need for combined active and passive restoration
- MERCES: Marine Ecosystem Restoration in Changing European Seas (H2020 Project)
