A Debate on the progress on the protection of Essential Fish Habitats under Article 8 of the EU Common Fisheries Policy and its contribution to rebuilding European fish stocks by 2020. This discussion will take place in the context of implementing the ecosystem-based approach of the CFP and particularly the delivery of multiannual plans. It will offer the possibility to better understand the potential and challenges of this fisheries management tool, as well as case studies for European regions.
