Webinar series "Mediterranean MPAs face to climate change" 

This first webinar series is organized in three units starting next to the 18th May 2020.

It is a pleasure to inform and invite you to participate in the webinar series "Mediterranean MPAs face to climate change". This webinar series is organized in the framework of the MPA-ENGAGE project 'Engaging Mediterranean key actors in the Ecosystem Approach to managing Marine Protected Areas (MPA) to face Climate change'. MPA-ENGAGE is an Interreg Med funded project aiming to support MPA managers to adapt to and mitigate the ongoing climate change effects in the Mediterranean Sea.
This first webinar series is organized in three units starting next to the 18th May 2020. In each unit, the participants will get acquainted with the approach and methods regarding the Monitoring, Socio-Ecological Vulnerability Assessments and Citizen Science activities. These activities are among the pillars for the development of adaptation actions plans in 7 MPAs. The final MPA-Engage goal is that other MPAs can adopt the developed approach to enhance the effectiveness of MPAs as ocean-based solution face to climate change.
Since restoration can be one of the measures to implement as part of the adaptation plan, I think that these webinars can be of your interest or within your networks.
